Description

Wakefield Museum celebrates the rich history of the Merrie City. We showcase stories, objects and exhibitions that bring Wakefield’s past to life. Located in Wakefield One.

There are permanent displays showcasing objects from Wakefield’s past. There is a Victorian kitchen and children’s play 1950s kitchen. There is a gallery recreating Charles Waterton’s nature park in stunning paper sculptures.

There is a temporary gallery space, currently showing an art exhibition.

Fully accessible museum, all displays on one level. Close to Wakefield Westgate train station and Wakefield city centre.
